These Cupcakes say LOVE

Pretty cupcakes, yummy!
My favorite cupcake say, "Love", by the hands of my children.
Today, I am bringing you a reminder that some of the simplest things bring the greatest pleasure.
I know that there are so many wonderful recipes, and cute and beautiful decorating ideas for cupcakes that are really nice.

But to just get in the kitchen with your kids and make a simple box of their favorite flavor of cake mix into cupcakes, seems magical.
They enjoy their accomplishments!

Don't forget the frosting that comes already made and some sprinkles.
I keep a large variety of sprinkles on hand.
We make the batter and fill the pretty paper cups, set the timer and bake.
When the timer goes off, the children can hardly wait for them to cool.

I let my children open the frosting and decorate to her own content!
They are so pretty and so yummy. Each one made with love.
Don't forget to let them lick the spoon! My favorite part. as well.
Remember to really enjoy your kids.
Let them have fun, and show off their cupcakes with the family!
These are Cupcakes that really say LOVE.

  1. My children are all adults now, but some of our fondest memories are of decorating the Christmas sugar cookies. None would win a contest, but they tasted even sweeter when they decorated their own. =D

  2. Well said. Your children's cupcakes look delish, I bet they enjoyed them! x

  3. that's a wonderful reminder!! thanks for sharing!!!! <3

  4. So true Suzie! Kids just love hands on baking. Every now and then I'll do a little with one of my grandies. They think that's the best. I too have sprinkles for fun! I've got to read about google circles to see if i can figure out how to invite people into mine. Slow but sure this ol gal might get er done! lol!

What a sweet surprise. Thank you so very kindly! I will have to get to work on choosing who to pass this to, but You are really a blessing to me by reading my blog and leaving such sweet comments. I am thankful for that.

  7. Hi Susie! The cupcakes look delicious! Chocolate/chocolate is my favorite combo. I miss having my daughter in the kitchen with me, although I guess it's still a bit the same. Now she just calls and asks for the recipes and directions. She starts calling from the grocery store and usually 2 times (at least) while she's cooking. LOL Honestly, I don't mind one bit.

Hope all is well with you. Have a great rest of the week! :~)

  8. What a sweet post. I so remember those days. My son loves to cook and bake. When he comes over he helps me in the kitchen. I just LOVE it.

  9. These are the best kind of cupcakes ever! I remember when my children were young and they decorated goodies like this. They were always so excited and proud of their results, no matter how messy they might have looked to someone else! I used to have to figure out a way for all three of them to get a taste since there was only one spoon!

  10. Simple pleasures are the BEST!

  11. Thank you for visiting my blog and your sweet comment. It's so lovely to find your bright and decorative blog...and I'll be back to visit you again!
