Crochet Dishcloths

I had the most wonderful visit this weekend with my parents.
The kids were thrilled when Grandpa and Grandma came for a visit.

My dear Momma is always a person that brings a gift!
She brought me these beautiful dishcloths.

She has been working on them and made quite a few colorful cloths.
Aren't they just so pretty?

I really love all the colors. I also like the texture from the ribbing.

I think these are so pretty, that I will find them hard to use on dishes!
But she says, "Don't save them. Use them!"

Oh, thank you Momma for these pretty little crochet dishcloths! I just love them!

I just wanted to share my blessings with you to enjoy!

  1. Hi, Susie! I just learned to crochet dishcloths and I am having such a fun and relaxing time. So far I have been making them for gifts...but someone gave me a couple and they are so nice to use. The yarn is cotton so they wash up really nice. It's good to keep the old skills alive. =D

  4. Oh Susie, the colors are fantasic! Reminds me of a basket full of brightly colored Easteer eggs. Crochet dishcloths are the best. They work so much better than any bought'n cloth. What a sweet mama!

  6. What a sweetie! She's right you know...you need to use them or all that effort would have been for nothing! I went to Kansas to visit my family a few years ago and brought dozens and dozens of my Tunisian short row dishcloths to give to everyone! What fun it is to surprise people with handmade goodies like that!

Thanks for your nice comment on my crocheted baby hat and instructions!

  7. Love, love, love the dishcloths. Your mother is the sweetest thing, bless her heart! Yes use them!!!!
And I wanted to thank you for the really nice comment you left on my blog, I am so happy you love it! But, oh my goodness, I would never consider myself an artist. I was actually thinking maybe I shouldn't have posted the painting wall because it was too "amateur" looking and I might be embarrassing myself!!! So I'm so glad you liked it! You are very sweet.
    Hugs,
    Julie

  8. I just love your dish cloths. You are so lucky to still have your momma. I have been making new ones and I just learned how to put a scalloped edges on them. They are great to use in the kitchen and the bath. Once you start to use them you will never go back.
Oh my gosh I am forgetting to tell you how much I LOVE your new look. You have done a GREAT job.

  18. Oh, Susie! I LOVE the new look! The flowers are so spring-y and happy! :~) Like a breath of fresh air. You can't help but smile when you see them!

I'm also in love with the dish cloths that your Mama made. It was so sweet of her to bring them for you. My Nana made and used them her whole life and like one of the gals above said, I pick them up at craft fairs whenever I see them, because they're 100 times better than any of their store-bought counterparts.

Hope all is well with you and your family. Sending you my very best wishes for a joyous and blessed Easter! XOXO ~Mary
