It's Looking Like Fall Again

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I know it's been a very long while. Are you all getting ready for Fall? It has been so warm here in Colorado. It was 90F yesterday. I hope to have some more posts for you soon. But we will see. I have a ways to recover from a recent surgery. So it's been a little hard to concentrate on projects just yet. I have to work on all my getting better first. I had a neck operation and have found that I can't seem to hold my arms up and hold my neck down when crafting without a lot of pain. So I am trying to work this out first. Have a great Fall. And I hope you are good. Blessings, Susie

Don't you think Valentine swaps are fun? I sure do. Vivian had a nice big swap year That I signed up for and my partner was Cindy from Prairies Edge Farm.   Prairies Exdge Farm  She made a beautiful pin cushion with a hankie flap. I love it!   She also made fantastic. Card and tags that are like snow globes with glitter in them! And lots of book marks and paper tags! Pencils and candy! I also made fun Valentines for her! Here they are. I had so much fun making home made Valentine's crafts. Thank you Vivian for being the best hostess! Head onover to Vivians blog Viv's blog Viv on a Whim to see more. Also, I apologize for this not being a very well posted blog post, but my computer is down so I had to use phone and it was not easy! Blessings and Happy Valentine's Day. Susie

Valentine Swap

From Viv  Happy February everyone! I have enjoyed this month so far. It has included a fun swap that Viv from Viv out on a Whim had this year! What a fun swap this was and a fun challenge for me, too! We were to make a Valentine card and a decoration, and include lots of goodies or joy! From Viv  As, you can see, Viv really did a great job of spoiling me! I sure had fun opening each little present that she individually wrapped for me! I had an empty spot on my old Singer sewing machine which made a great place to put all her wonderful Valentines! She made a cute decorated Valentine box, a beautiful deer Valentine on a spool, a sweet girl on a swing, and the sweetest heart ornament with a key! She also included plenty of chocolate to keep me smiling, and some pretty towels for my kitchen! Do you see those cute paper globes? I have never had any of these before! I am excited to use them in my decorating throughout Spring! From Viv  I am really amazed by Viv

My Own Colorado Winter Wonderland

Welcome to my Winter Wonderland! Come on over through the gate and take a look around! The trees are covered with a beautiful snow! I have been whisked up into a postcard of White! On heavy cloudy days it almost appears in shades of black and white!  The pine trees are so heavy in their strong branches as the weight from the snow weights them down.    Even the birds are staying in, no picnic today!    Planting a yardstick in the white powder is a fun way to measure how much snow we got on this particular day.  The trees and fence never fail to give my camera a pretty picture. I feel like a grand photographer!   It seems so silent and still. A quiet moment in this cold beautiful weather. But life has not stood still. Yes, I have to adventure out in this weather. The fog was very thick!  But when the sun comes out, all the snow crystals are divine!  God has painted a wonderful blanket in

Fun Making Christmas Toy Wreath with Vintage Ornaments

Christmas time sure is a wonderful time to get creative.  Don't you think?  I really wanted to share the big toy wreath that mom and I worked on together.  It was so much fun to make! Not only is it loaded with lots of different ornaments, but it also has lights! It is a little hard to see them in the picture,  but I did have them plugged in so you could see them tw i nkle! This wreath has mostly vintage ornaments. Look at that little Santa Claus face! He makes me happy! The adorable little elf is new,  but so cute that I had to include him!  The bear is a Vintage Avon toy, but was still new in the wrapper!  He is the cute toy that inspired me to make this wreath! I knew that when I found this sweet bear that he looked fun and needed an entire wreath to display him.  Haha!  I just love home make wooden and felt Christmas ornaments. Do you remember making them when you were little? They remind me of my childhood!  I hung this out on my front door for the pictur
