Merry Blessed Christmas

Merry Christmas!
I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season! What ever you do whether it be crafting, shopping, decorating, baking, etc... May you be so very blessed and enjoy it!
Spend time with the people that you love. Let them know that you love them. Be a blessing in someone elses life. Let yourself be the gift. Giving of a smile a hello is sometimes enough for a stranger to be very touched.
I know this has been such an emotionally tough year for me. I haven't been blogging like I used to. Sometimes, I think that I have nothing to offer here. But what I do know, is that this has opened up a whole different world of blessings to me.
I really started my blogging journey with the thought that I hoped to be a blessing to someone. Even if it was in the smallest way. And of course, to bless my heavenly Savior.
The thing I didn't expect was all the blessed people I would come across and be a blessing in my life as well!
Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to come visit my blog. Thank you for the kind comments. Thank you to the ones that have reached out to me when I am hurting. You are all wonderful. I am thankful for you.
May you have a blessed Christmas! May your lives be filled with joy and love.
Thank you God for all you do! Thank you for your son.

Merry Christmas,

He Really is Mr. Amazing

I sure think it is time for a cheerful post! I have been really busy with my Dad's recent heart attack and surgery. After my last update, I was so happy to read all of the oh so wonderful comments and all of the great support from you. Thank you!
Yes, your prayers are good. My Dad had been having a heart attack that would not stop, and they did emergency surgery on him Saturday, January 5, 2013. The details are in this post here . After having another heart attack on the table they opened him up again, and then tried to stabilize him and sent him to an ICU room. Daddy stayed sedated and on a ventilator until Tuesday. He was slowly getting a little better.
Then on Wednesday, He flat lined at 11:00 am and it took over 2 minutes to bring him back, then he flat lined again at around 2:00 pm, then again at 3:00 pm. They manged to bring him back both times again.
As you can imagine, this was all very stressful and scared us all very much. He was aware of what happened and had many things he felt important to say to family members. We have had so much support with our prayer warriors, and by Saturday the 12th, one week since the surgery, they moved him out of ICU and into Coronary Care Unit. Seemed like a good day, and him and Momma even watched a football game between the Denver Broncos and the Ravens.
At 2:00 am I got a phone call that he was in trouble. Very difficult breathing with Pneumonia! I was at home over 30 minutes away. I managed to get to the hospital asap. Joining my mother and my dad's favorite cousin we gathered around him, praying nonstop. Also, many other family members praying from where they were.

My big strong Daddy was scared. My Mom was fragile and we were all doing our best. The medical staff did so many things to help get him breathing again, and he had been having irregular heart beat. I know that the All Mighty is just that, and performs His great works.
Daddy is breathing so much better. His heart has an outer pace maker and his heart is working hard to stay in rhythm.  My mom is tired, but very happy.
Monday, Dad even was able to get up and walk 10 feet! He is such a fighter! And through it all He is sharing the Gospel. To everyone he comes in contact with. Also, he is telling jokes and keeping a very upbeat attitude.
Watching my Dad keeping such a positive attitude, fighting attitude , and having so much faith just makes me so proud!
He really is Mr. Amazing! I have to say, I am really proud of my Momma's strength, too! Mr. & Mrs. Amazing.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so blessed and thankful for my family and friends.
I love Prayer Warriors!!

Update on Daddy and his heart

To all my dear friends,
Your thoughts and prayers mean more to me than you will ever know. This has been really bad. My dad had been having an on going heart attack for three days. They had to do emergency surgery. He was in surgery for 7 hours. He had three bypasses. As soon as they closed him up he had another heart attack. They opened him again. They did their best to stabilize his heart rhythm. The surgeon came out and told us that he was only one step above death. It was the worse news possible. I have never been at a low any worse than this ever.
But my dad is the strongest and most faithful man I have ever known. He is a very great man, and if anyone has a direct link to the heavenly Father. I know he does. They went ahead and put him in his ICU room, let my mom and oldest sister go be with him. The surgeons, started becoming amazed. They said they had no reason to understand why he was living. He has been slowly improving. It is still very critical. But this morning he finally woke up. It is Monday and the surgery was Saturday. He is on a ventilator, and they are doing everything they can for him. But he is fighting and improving!
Praise GOD!! HalleluYah!
Prayer is what is keeping my dad alive. The doctors said there was no way he could be any worse, but he is improving. The doctors have just been calling him Mr. Amazing! He is going to be having a long road ahead of him. But he has a road ahead of him. My family is very tired. But we have all stood in prayer and faith and are so thankful for the amazing people that love us, love my dad, and love our creator.
Your prayers do make a huge difference. Trust in Him. Keep Him in your hearts. Love Him always. He will never let you down. Please, I ask to keep my dad in your prayers. He is 74. Tomorrow is my sweet mothers 73rd birthday, She is so in love with my dad, and constantly by his side. Pray for her strength and courage and health, too. I really need prayers from you all. This is the toughest challenge of my life. My daddy is my rock. He is my first love.
Thank you all so very much. I love you, too. May God bless each and every one of you.
Blessings,
Susie
