Merry Blessed Christmas

Merry Christmas!
I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season! What ever you do whether it be crafting, shopping, decorating, baking, etc... May you be so very blessed and enjoy it!
Spend time with the people that you love. Let them know that you love them. Be a blessing in someone elses life. Let yourself be the gift. Giving of a smile a hello is sometimes enough for a stranger to be very touched.
I know this has been such an emotionally tough year for me. I haven't been blogging like I used to. Sometimes, I think that I have nothing to offer here. But what I do know, is that this has opened up a whole different world of blessings to me.
I really started my blogging journey with the thought that I hoped to be a blessing to someone. Even if it was in the smallest way. And of course, to bless my heavenly Savior.
The thing I didn't expect was all the blessed people I would come across and be a blessing in my life as well!
Thank you. Thank you for taking the time to come visit my blog. Thank you for the kind comments. Thank you to the ones that have reached out to me when I am hurting. You are all wonderful. I am thankful for you.
May you have a blessed Christmas! May your lives be filled with joy and love.
Thank you God for all you do! Thank you for your son.

Let It Snow

Merry Christmas!
How is everyone doing? I sure hope all is good. Are you ready for Christmas?
I am spreading some Holiday Cheer today! I want to share this cute Christmas video. It really is a very wonderful version of "Let is Snow" sung by the cast of Star Trek Next Generation!

Now I know many of you may be thinking, "No thanks!" But I really do urge you to watch this. I am almost positive it will make you happy!

So here it is:

I really have to give this guy, James Covenent, a hand that put this together!

Hope this brightened your day!

A Sewing We Will Go

Hello! Hello! How are you?
I am not the best blogging buddy lately, so sorry! I hope you are doing good.

My older sister made me the prettiest apron for my birthday. She stitched it all out by hand. She dipped into her vintage stash of fabrics from her dear MIL. Don't you love the pretty purple and yellow pansies! What a wonderfully sweet gift! Thanks, Sis!!

I finally got my new sewing machine... yay! So you want to know what I decided to get? I purchased a Brother Innov-is 2800D.
What does that mean? It means not only can I sew and quilt on it, but it has machine embroidery on it, too! I am sure it will be a lot of fun!
Oh, Heather, if I could only hand stitch as beautiful as you! But this will be good way for me!!

Now for the learning how to use all the whistles and bells!
What will I make first? Well, I signed up for usage classes in November and that should help me learn this particular machine. I did embroider on the front of a t-shirt. I will spare you the pictures!! I am going to make some simple tea towles and stuff to start getting the feel for this machine.

I will be attempting the Quilt Block Sampler 2013 over at Donna's every Wednesday! This week is number three, but I am sure I can catch up! She is great at her tutorials.

I also have a vintage 70's dress pattern on the way from a sweet friend. I am not sure how hard that will be, but I will give it a try! I will show the picture when I get it :)

Happy blessings, and pray your week is filled with joy.

Rainbow

In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. “This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you. For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

The Lamb of God

To You, from Little Susie Home Maker

Hello sweet friends!
I wanted to share with you this little graphic that I made and with you all the best for this Holiday Weekend.
I really have not had the time to spend on blogging that I used to have, but I do still think about all my blogging buddies and wonder what you are all up to. I am looking forward to a great weekend with my very own family out of town.

I know it will be tough to have our first holiday without Daddy. We all miss him so much. I remember every since I was a little girl he would help us decorate eggs and then he always loved an Easter Egg hunt. But more importantly, He would give us a bible lesson. (Which he did anytime we were around, anyways!)
Momma is doing as well as she can, and we are all surrounding her with as much love as we can.

It is a great thing to be able to spend time with people I love and I know that I am blessed.
I am so thankful for my Savior and what He did and why we are celebrating this weekend, so that each and everyone of us have the opportunity to be together with Him again forever.

I will also indulge in a little chocolate and some other fancy treats. I know I will have fun with all the children and play a few games, and exchange in great conversations, etc.

I hope you make time to be thankful and praise Him for what He has done. He is so wonderful.

Blessings,
Little Susie Home Maker

Thank you...

I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the prayers and warm thoughts, the encouragement, and love. Your sentiments have meant the world to me while going through such a rough time. I know I have not had time to thank everyone individually. Please know that all of you are a blessing to me, even if I have not had time to come thank you in a personal note. I am very blessed to have been blessed by you!
Thank you so much,
Susie
