Good morning my sweet friends. Well, it is looking a lot more like winter in my neck of the woods than autumn!
It was a nice surprise this morning. Earlier than normal. Not all the leaves have even changed colors yet!
So am I ready for this? I am not usually too thrilled about winter weather. You know, the aches and pains that settle into my bones, etc. .
I feel a bit exhilarated today. I welcome the change. Of course in Colorado, I can expect it to warm up my next week, so that makes it nice to enjoy for now.
So today I will switch out my sandals for boots, shorts for jeans. (I hang on to summer as long as I can, some call it denial, lol) I will put on a comfy soft sweater and bake lasagna for dinner!
Celebrating a special birthday tonight for Mr Fix-it ♡♥ Lasagna is his favorite. My the years go by fast!
Stay warm and have a blessed day♡♥
Blessings,

Susie, Oh my goodness snow!!!! What a beautiful surprise for you! I just love the fall! We got a nice cold front too no snow just lower 70s here in South Texas.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mr Fix it enjoy that lasagna sounds yummy!!
Happy Birthday to your sweetie!
ReplyDeleteThat snow is coming too close to me for comfort. We usually don't get our first snow for a month still and that is usually flurries. We went from 80 to 60 to now the 40's. I sure hope this doesn't mean that Winter is going to really bite this year!
Stay warm!
A little snow here this a.m., also; but now the sun is shining. Love Colorado winters! Sally
ReplyDeleteHi Susie,
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday wishes to Mr. Fix-it!! Sounds like an October snow makes for a special birthday, along with lasagna! I love the picture! We rarely get snow and it feels like a holiday when we do. Just a small bit causes everything to shut down, which would get some giggles out of you guys since you know how to deal with tough winters. :) Ya'll have a great snowy day! Sounds so cozy!
Sweet Susie,
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday To You Mr. Fix-it Man!!!!
Brrrr......I bet it's chilly there today?
Stay warm, enjoy the weather, and I hope everyone is well as Autumn continues with winter soon to roll in. It's suppose to freeze tonight here. The heat is already on to keep the animals warm inside the house.
You lucky girl. Snow? That sounds wonderful to me. It has been so nice here the last few days. We got a cool front so it is only in the 60's but it sure beats the heat we have here. Hope you are having a great day my dear.

That looks so amazing! It's 82 here right now! But the first snows always look so pretty. Happy Birthday to Mr. Fix it! I hope he has a very happy day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I can't imagine. I still have veggies in the garden. We are planning to cover them this weekend with the hoop houses. Is this a common thing for you, snow in October? We have had it here in Maine in October, but usually at the very end of October. I hope you do like it!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe y'all have snow! It is 92 degrees here and so hot.... The leaves haven't even started to change. (I'm in Florida) It looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amy Jo

ReplyDeleteHappy birthdays lovely Suzie. I hope you have a wonderful year filled with many more wonderul surprises like this beautiful snow. I love the snow and your photo of it is so pretty. You've got me all excited for Christmas now. Xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to snow on my birthday (Oct. 3rd) but it didn't and I was glad!
ReplyDeleteWe northerners really should just embrace the snow but I do enjoy a little fall before winter comes!
Happy birthday to Mr. Fix it! Lasagna is my favorite, too!
That graphic you showed is so cute! ♥
Happy BIrthday to your hubby! Hope the day was wonderful!! Oh, look at the snow!! Send some my way! ;) Have a beautiful weekend! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteAs a girl from Ca I would be doing the happy dance to wake up and see snow. Since you get a lot you are probably not so likely to be dancing. Stay warm, cook something yummy and enjoy the day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you.
I love Winter, so I can not wait ;-) for the snow to make it to Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your sweetheart! ♥
We got a skiff of snow as well. I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteLittle Susie, I am not ready for any snow. I hope ours doesn't come till Jan. or Feb. You can tell I older..I think the older we get the less we enjoy the snow. Stay warm honey. xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Mr.Fix It! you need a snowflake background in here. I am glad we live just below the snow line of where it falls in the Sierra Nevada mountains. When I was young we lived in NY and the snow was so cold and pretty but got so dirty and messy, Icy and and I was always falling!
ReplyDeleteI just drive to play in it for a day and then go home. I am happy to put the shorts away but it has been in the 80's all week, but at night it is getting to the 40's. As long as we don't have to turn on the air conditioner I am happy!
Have a wonderful week little Mrs Suzie Homemaker! hugs
It is WAY to early for snow, yikes! Hope you are back to fall and some leaves changing color now. :) Pam
ReplyDeletePretty snow! I'm not ready for winter either. I'm still watching the leaves change colors. I love the autumn season. Take care!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am not ready! Although a couple weeks ago we woke up to snow. Now it's beautiful here in UT. A lot like CO. It change in a matter of days.
